Help

The questions we hear most. Short guides (inviting, pasting an address, SharePoint) will come with the beta.

Do I need a Word licence?

No. Paginel reads and writes .docx files itself: you need neither Word nor a Microsoft 365 subscription. To open a SharePoint document (coming soon), you will need a Microsoft account that has access to it.

Where are my files?

With the desktop app, on your computer, as usual. The documents you share are kept by Paginel, in France (see Data management). A document from SharePoint or Dropbox (coming soon) will also stay there: Paginel will save your changes back to it.

Do my colleagues need to install anything?

No. A browser is enough. Your guests join with a code or a link, without creating an account.

What are the three views for?

Markdown to write fast, without formatting: the Word template brings it. Editing to polish, as in a word processor. PDF to check the pages as they will print; nothing is edited there.

Can I connect an AI agent?

Yes. An agent connects to a document (MCP or REST API) and writes in the section it is given, under a person’s responsibility; it can be paused or excluded. Paginel calls no model on its own: you choose your agent and its provider.

How much does it cost?

The beta is free. After that, the plan is: a free tier (10 personal documents, 5 shared ones, 100 MB) and an individual licence at €20 / $20 a year, tax included.

How do I join the beta?

It is closed, with a small group to start with. Request access: we will write to you as soon as a seat opens up.
